You will find a product or service to promote in your communities such as blog site, social media pages or any other platforms that allows your audience to follow the affiliate link to purchase a product or enrol for a service.
Once the company you’re an affiliate with confirms the purchase, a commission is credited into your account which you can withdraw to your local bank account.
There are many companies to partner with. Some of them are companies like Impact, Shopify, Amazon, eBay, AliExpress, and more.
An average affiliate marketer earns $8,038 per month. 81.2% of affiliate marketers make above $20,000 per annum. Additionally, an average return of investment (ROI) of $15 for every dollar invested in affiliate marketing is 1400%.
2. Content Creation
Content creation can help you make massive income online. It is an incredible source of income online when it comes to digital marketing.
If you’re thinking of the foundation of digital campaigns, content creation has strong connections with them. From email marketing, copywriting, SEO writing, PPC, to social media marketing.
I have witnessed people gaining massive followers through content creation. You can earn money via content creation by working as an in-house content writer, a freelancer, or as a blogger.

4. YouTube Channel or Faceless YouTube
People are now making steady income online through vlogging on YouTube. To start earning on YouTube, create a channel–you can show your face or make it a faceless channel.
Choose a niche, and start creating short and long videos (Ideally maximum of 15 mins videos).
Do good keyword research around your audience’s search intent, then create captivating videos that will help you attract new subscribers.
To succeed in running a YouTube channel, comply with YouTube community guidelines and be consistent with your posts.
One day, your channel will gain massive followers, watch hours, then the next thing, you can show ads on your channel to make money.
In 2024 a report was provided by RiversideFm that only 0.3% of YouTubers can make $5,000 per month, and fewer make enough to become millionaires.
An average YouTuber with 1000 subscribers can earn up to $300 per month from AdSense.
5. Earn Online with Blogging
Blogging is another way to earn steady income online with digital marketing, and it is simple to set up. The one you are reading right now is a blog.
Choose a niche you would like to specialize in blogging. It could be travel, technology, food, or a topic you have passion for.
The next step is to buy a domain name and register with a hosting company to manage your blog site. You can use an html built website for your blog or use WordPress–a content management system (CMS). WordPress comes highly recommended.
Always make reference to reliable sources on your blog posts and give real analysis to gain trust from your readers and search engines.
Once your content starts receiving clicks leading people to your website, it means your blog is getting ready to be monetized. A blog can be monetized through affiliate links, or advertisement from platforms such as Google AdSense, Adsterra, or Ezoic.
Other platforms you can make money blogging include:
- Medium Partnership: You subscribe as a member, write articles and earn money when people read them.
- Steemit is another platform to earn money blogging.
